Position Overview:

The Director of Strategic Partnerships is responsible for identifying, cultivating, and managing relationships that advance the mission of the Chamber and strengthen the value we provide to our members. This includes developing new partnerships, deepening sponsor and stakeholder relationships, and collaborating with community members and organizations to enhance visibility, engagement, and impact. These efforts are designed to elevate the overall member experience by aligning strategic partnerships with programs, events, and initiatives that support a growing and diverse business community. This role also includes tailoring partnership offerings to meet evolving member needs, managing partner deliverables and expectations, highlighting partner contributions through our marketing channels, and working collaboratively across the organization to implement strategies that drive member recruitment, retention, and long-term engagement.

  • Enthusiasm for the Chamber’s mission and ongoing goals to support the business and nonprofit community in the Capital Region
  • A passion for developing strong business relationships and the ability to strategically build on interactions with members
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to coordinate programmatic logistics
  • Identifying trends and opportunities important to our members and the community
  • Effective writing and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to master customer relations management database software
  • Experience with grant writing

Job responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement strategic partnership goals aligned with the Chamber’s mission.
  • Identify, secure, and maintain high-value relationships with sponsors, stakeholders, and community partners.
  • Collaborate internally to integrate partnerships with programs, events, and member services.
  • Represent the Chamber at events, conferences, and community meetings to expand the partnership network
  • Act as an ambassador for the Chamber in external stakeholder engagements.
  • Serving as staff liaison to volunteer planning committees
  • Attending programs and coordinating any necessary volunteer participation
  • Cultivating relationships that support sponsorship and investment opportunities for our members

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $60,000 – $63,000 Annually
