The volunteers who power your Chamber

The Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce is proud to host many committees who help us carry out our mission—to develop economic opportunities, strengthen the business climate, and enhance the quality of life in the Capital Region. These dedicated volunteers are an essential part of our organization; they advocate for local businesses, provide educational programs for area students, beautify New Hampshire’s capital city, and much more.

“We give our time, and help members of the Chamber connect with others to help their businesses grow,” said Ambassador Committee Chair, Mark Dartnell of Eastern Bank. The Ambassadors Committee welcomes people to events, attends new business ribbon cuttings, and shares their knowledge of the business community to help others build lasting professional connections. “I feel that I am giving back to the group that helped my family business succeed and continue to be a major business here in the Chamber, even though I have moved onto another business chapter of my life.”

Concord Young Professionals Network (CYPN) is one of the most vibrant young professional networks in the state; they host monthly networking events, professional development and enrichment opportunities, coordinate community volunteer efforts, and recognize young leaders with monthly and annual awards. “Chairing the CYPN committee gives me the chance to help build a community where young professionals can network, develop their skills, and make a meaningful impact. It’s an opportunity to help shape the future of our local business environment while supporting the next generation of leaders,” said CYPN Steering Committee Chair, Emily Ricard.

The Leadership Greater Concord (LGC) Steering Committee plans and executes an annual 10-month program for area professionals who are interested in becoming more involved in the Capital Region. This immersive professional development opportunity connects participants with prominent community leaders, and equips up-and-coming professionals with knowledge that allows them to better serve the community. “Over the last thirty years, LGC has transformed the lives of many community leaders,” said Andrea Beaudoin of Riverbend Community Mental Health, Inc. “I have witnessed and experienced the lasting connections formed, and as the 2025 LGC Steering Committee Chair, I couldn’t be happier to expand my participation in supporting this wonderful program.”

The Chamber hosts several other committees that all contribute in unique ways to make a positive impact on the Greater Concord community. The Local and State Government Affairs Committees advocate for area businesses and look out for policies and legislation that impacts our local and state business climate.

The Funds for Education Committee and CASL Steering Committees support workforce development by providing opportunities for area students to develop practical skills and gain real-world experience in diverse industries. Funds for Education is an initiative that provides funding for community-based educational programming. Capital Area Student Leadership (CASL) is a leadership program for high school sophomores, giving local students a taste of the networking and community immersion experiences that LGC offers to adult professionals. The Funds for Education Golf Tournament Committee supports both of these efforts for local students by planning a popular fundraiser event.

The Creative Concord Committee promotes our region’s cultural economy by coordinating city-wide events, presenting an annual sculpture exhibit, and providing the space for arts leaders to convene and collaborate on community projects. The Inclusion in Action Committee is dedicated to researching and strategizing ways to support the Chamber’s diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts. The Board of Directors makes key policy decisions for our organization, approves the annual budget, and plans for the Chamber’s future. And numerous subcommittees further the Chamber’s work in all of these avenues.

Altogether, 175 volunteers serve the community on one of the Chamber’s many committees. We would like to extend a huge thank you to each and every individual who shares their time and talent to support our programs and initiatives. This powerful force of dedicated volunteers supports our Chamber staff to make us one of the largest and most impactful chambers in the state.
