The Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce’s Business and Education Task Force is accepting grants from local teachers who have developed innovative programs that fall outside of the school’s regular budget. Funded projects will focus on connecting local students to workforce opportunities and fostering the development of practical skills that will be used when students enter the workforce. Grant applications may be submitted until November 1.
In 2022, the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce awarded $4,000 to projects at Broken Ground School, Concord High School and Second Start. Teachers may learn more and apply at concordnhchamber.com/business-grants-for-teachers.
The Chamber’s Business Grants for Teachers initiative is made possible through the Funds for Education Golf Tournament. Thank you to all who participated in this year’s event, and to the Business and Education Task Force committee volunteers and Chair, Sean Skabo of Bangor Savings Bank, who review applications from local teachers and schools, and select meaningful projects to award funding to.
