The new year is the perfect time to reflect on your business goals, and evaluate how to best invest your time and efforts in the year ahead. In Greater Concord, over 800 businesses and organizations have chosen to rely on one specific resource to help them continuously grow their client base and stand out in the community—the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce.
We’d like to remind you of some of the Chamber’s most popular programs and resources, and point you towards the tools that can best meet your professional goals in 2025.
Grow your business network
As one of the largest Chambers in the state, our members enjoy being a part of a vast network of thousands of area professionals. If you are looking to connect with new clients this year, try attending Business After Hours—our popular monthly networking event. “As new members, we weren’t sure what to expect, but we easily assimilated into the energetic and large crowd,” said a representative from FirstTracks Marketing Group, LLC. “My only regret is that I was too busy chatting and never had a chance to sample the hors d’oeuvres!” For individuals who are looking for a more intimate networking experience, try Chamber Connections—our BNI-style networking group for motivated professionals.
Boost your online presence
All Chamber members are featured on the Chamber’s popular website—concordnhchamber.com. It’s well worth the time to login to your member account and ensure your business info is up-to-date. With an updated listing, site visitors are more likely to be directed to visit your own website. Make sure you add keywords for improved searchability. The Chamber also offers a variety of ad packages that can help you reach a targeted audience of area professionals.
Generate income through tourism
2024 was a great year for the Chamber’s tourism efforts. Our newly-designed Guidebook to Greater Concord flew off the shelves, and featured over 270 individual businesses and organizations from our membership. We’re continuing the momentum this year by expanding our fold-out Map & Guide into a new Visitor Guide publication. This booklet will highlight key attractions, restaurants and much more, with maps of the overall city, downtown area, and Penacook. You can support these efforts to grow our city’s tourism economy—and draw visitors to your own business—by reserving ad space in both of these publications.
The Chamber advocates for your business
The Chamber looks out for the interests of the business community by tracking issues and legislation at both the state and local levels and keeping members informed. The Local Government Affairs committee meets monthly and advocates on behalf of businesses to increase tax base and help create a pro-business environment. The State Government Affairs committee meets during the legislative session and tracks legislation that could impact business. Keep your eye out for our monthly advocacy updates in this newsletter.
Join the conversation about impactful city issues
The Chamber hosts timely forums that bring leaders together to discuss important projects, initiatives, and community challenges. These events offer great opportunities to align your businesses with impactful causes, and ask important questions to decision-makers throughout the community. If you’re looking for deeper community involvement, consider applying for the Chamber’s prestigious Leadership Greater Concord (LGC) program.
“I am convinced that a membership in the Greater Concord Chamber is the best return on investment a business or nonprofit can make,” said Ryan Robinson, Senior Director at Mainstay Technologies, LLC. Our team is eager to help your business grow and thrive in our community. Stop by our office at 49 South Main Street, or reach out to us at info@concordnhchamber.com or (603) 224-2508 to learn more about these member benefits and many more opportunities that can help you meet your professional goals in 2025.
